Order Process
We love to collaborate with you to create beautiful and functional pieces of timber joinery and furniture for your home. The custom furniture creation process is more involved than simply going to a store and selecting what you want. This however is what sets custom furniture apart as you get to create the pieces to be just the way you want them! Here is the step by step process of how we will work together from concept to having the furniture in your home….
1 - Lock in the price
For our set designs, timbers and configurations, the pricing for our furniture and timber vanities can be found by making the selections on the product page or via the price guide attachment. Depending on your location, we may need to get a quote from a furniture mover or courier based on your preference to finalise your pricing.
For custom pieces, we will create a personalised quote for the production of your furniture, the freight and the installation if applicable. For our portfolio designs, you can email us your order or complete the online interactive form found below.

2 - Deposit invoice & email
We will email you an invoice from our accounting software detailing your order and the required deposit to secure your place in our schedule. A separate email will be sent with your estimated completion date as well as a link to our interactive order form.
3 - Order form completion
In the interactive order form, we gather details such as:
Your contact information
delivery option selection
If you want a maintenance kit,
Your preferred timber feature level
If the details on your invoice are correct.
If you are ordering bathroom furniture such as a timber vanity, the order form has more specific questions about:The placement of your basins and taps
If our standard allowances of 150mm below the waste cutout and 80mm behind the drawers are suitable for your situation.
The required cutout size for your basin. Our standard is 100mm which suits most basins.
If your situation is outside our standard allowances or needs to be customised, you will be prompted to fill out a waste location drawing document.

4 - Drawings
Once we have received your deposit payment and your completed order form, our head furniture maker Luke creates customised design drawings that are emailed to you for your approval. If anything is incorrect on the drawings, Luke will re-do them until they are correct. For bathroom furniture and joinery projects, we advise running the drawings past your tradespeople to ensure the pieces will be appropriate for your situation.
5 - Ordering components
Once you have replied to Luke that you approve the drawings, we order any required components such as specialised timber or stone bench tops. Depending on your item and the components required, there may be a delay in your completion date if this stage is not reached 4 weeks prior to your completion date.
6 - Production
Once we reach your spot in our production schedule, our furniture making team do their magic and create your furniture.
7 - Balance invoice and delivery information
Our admin team will be in touch the week prior to the completion of your furniture with the expected date it will be ready to be picked up by you or the delivery company. If we are completing the delivery, we will provide you with the expected delivery date. We will email your balance invoice which will need to be settled prior to your furniture being collected or delivered.
8 - Pick up or delivery
If you selected a TNT delivery, you will be emailed updates on the movement of your furniture and the expected completion date. If the Bombora team are completing the delivery, we will advise you the week prior to the day we expect to deliver and confirm the time the day prior. If an external furniture moving company is delivering your furniture, they will contact you the day prior with the estimated time for delivery. Please note that the timing of delivery completed by external companies is out of our control.
