Solid Timber Doors

A solid timber door brings warmth and texture to the frontage of your home to make a lasting first impression. In contrast to a hollow alternative, a solid timber front door is sturdy, secure, and a delight to swing open and closed.

Custom made wooden doors
Each of our pieces is made to your dimensions to ensure that it will fit snuggly into your space. We also create frames from matching Australian hardwood with elements such as sidelights and stunning chunky sills.
As well as wooden front doors, we also create beautiful internal timber doors. Other than the beauty of real wood, compared to their hollow counterparts, these pieces are great at dampening sound and temperature control.
A solid door requires a horizontal breadboard at the top and base to counteract any movement of the wood. For pieces with either all horizontal or vertical grain patterns, we need to use a steel internal frame which is then clad in timber.
Australian Hardwood Timber Doors
The wood you choose for your timber front door greatly impacts the aesthetic of your frontage. Select grade Blackbutt timber is a beautiful pale brown tone with minimal markings. This is a great option for scandinavian, modern and hamptons style homes. Messmate timber is a warm brown tone with tquintessential black sap line features. Recycled Messmate is similar to Messmate however its tone is more varied and there will be signs of its previous life such as nail holes.
