Origin of Tasmanian blackwood
Tasmanian Blackwood timber comes from the Acacia Melanoxylon tree which can grow to 15m in height. This unique and stunning timber is native to the southern and eastern parts of Australia. In late winter and early spring, this tree produces a lovely display of yellow wattle flowers.
Blackwood timber is newly harvested from plantations with an FSC certification.
